Hollywood comes to San Luis Obispo

The 16th Annual San Luis Obispo International Film Festival is set to roll out the red carpet in less than two weeks!
With less than two weeks to go until opening night, the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival is excited to announce its slate of films and events for the 16th annual festival and special guest appearances. San Luis Obispo will play host to hundreds of visiting filmmakers, celebrities and movie buffs during the festival’s 10 days of films, special events, filmmaking panels and parties.  This year's festival includes the presentation of the special King Vidor Award to Academy Award-winning actor, Alan Arkin. The festival runs from March 12 through March 21.

This year’s festival is a full-fledged celebration of film and video that features a wide variety of new contemporary films from around the world, while continuing the tradition of screening older films. A focus on Irish cinema, new venues in Atascadero and Paso Robles and many special guests from around the world will combine to make the 2010 Festival more exciting than ever.

But what makes this festival distinctive from the others are the one-of-a-kind venues that highlight the variety of what makes San Luis Obispo County such an incredible place to live and visit. Whether you’re at a 200-year-old cattle ranch, an intimate winery or the historic mission, these special film events create movie magic like nothing you have ever seen in Hollywood.

So get your popcorn ready and join us for a movie experience you will never forget!
